Background
QNB Bank has been a community bank in Quakertown, Pennsylvania since 1877, with branches across Bucks, Montgomery and Lehigh counties. Its customers range from families opening a first checking account to small businesses and commercial clients, and nearly all of them start at qnbbank.com, whether they are signing in to online banking, checking rates or looking for the nearest branch.
QNB came to us ready to move off its previous website platform. A bank's website carries more weight than most: it has to be secure and accessible, it has to make sign-in effortless, and QNB's own staff need to keep rates, offers, news, job openings and branch details current without waiting on a developer.
Objectives
The goal was a modern, trustworthy site that works as hard as a branch does:
- Give personal, small business and commercial customers clear paths to the products they need
- Keep online banking sign-in, first-time enrollment and password help one click away
- Help visitors find the right branch, with services, directions and live open or closed status
- Let QNB's team manage rates, offers, press releases, careers and staff listings on their own
- Meet accessibility standards and keep meeting them as the site grows
- Protect the live site with a staging-first workflow and managed hosting
Challenges
Banking sites are built on trust and compliance. Every page has to hold up to an accessibility review, sign-in has to work every time, and details like routing numbers, disclosures and rates have to be exactly right.
Branch information was its own puzzle. Many QNB offices keep separate lobby and drive-thru hours, so a single “Open” or “Closed” label could be wrong for half the people reading it. And because QNB's team updates content every day, every change we ship has to respect their work.
Discovery & Planning
We organized the site around how customers think about banking: Personal, Business, Investment, Resources and About Us, each with its own mega menu so deep product pages stay a click or two away from anywhere on the site.
The header, footer, menus, sign-in and enrollment popups, and news layouts were all built as reusable templates, so a change made once shows up everywhere it should.

Design Phase
The design pairs QNB's navy and orange with a classic serif for headlines: steady and approachable, the way a bank that has been around since 1877 should feel.
Online banking sign-in sits right in the homepage hero, with quick links for first-time enrollment and password help, and three clear doorways lead Personal, Small Business and Commercial customers to the right place.
Branch Finder
The locations page pairs a searchable map with a list of every branch, showing distance, services like drive-thru ATMs, coin counters and night drops, and whether the branch is open right now.
Branches with separate lobby and drive-thru hours show each on its own line, and the status is worked out live from each branch's hours and holiday closures, so customers never see a stale answer.

Development Phase
The site runs on WordPress with BeBuilder and a custom child theme. Advanced Custom Fields power staff listings, regions and branch hours, WP Job Manager runs the careers page, and built-in financial calculators help customers plan loans and savings.
Product pages like Business Checking share a consistent layout, so QNB's marketing team can launch a new offer or account page without starting from scratch.
Launch, Hosting & Support
The new site launched in January 2025, eight months after kickoff, with a coordinated domain cutover and a post-launch audit with QNB's team. Since then we have worked through QNB's accessibility reports right down to button contrast, and added features like holiday closure notices for branches.
QNB's site runs on our managed hosting behind Cloudflare. Every change goes to a staging site first and reaches production only after review, and accessibility is checked as part of ongoing support.
When QNB needs something new, from a homepage offer to smarter branch hours, we build it, test it on staging and ship it.
Conclusion
The new qnbbank.com gives a 149-year-old community bank a website that matches the service customers get in its branches: easy to navigate, quick to sign in, honest about when each branch is open, and simple for QNB's own team to keep current.
It is a strong example of what we do best for regulated, high-trust organizations: careful design, solid engineering, and a support relationship that keeps the site dependable long after launch.
