Background
Clementine Montessori School is a Montessori preschool and kindergarten in Center City Philadelphia for children ages 2 years 9 months to 6. Founded by parents in 2009, it opened with a first class of 15 students and has since grown fourfold.
The school came to us in 2022 needing a dependable web partner after losing access to a site built by another developer. Since then we've rebuilt, refreshed and supported it.
Objectives
Goals for clementinemontessori.org:
- Regain control of the website and put it on reliable hosting
- Make admissions and applying easy for families
- Keep the school calendar current
- Introduce families to the teachers in each classroom
- Refresh the school's logo and look
Challenges
Taking over a site without access to the old developer or host meant recovering accounts and content before any new work could start.
The brand refresh also brought together many voices from the school community, so the design process made room for feedback and approvals.
Discovery & Planning
We organized the site around a family's path: learning about Montessori and Clementine, meeting the teachers, checking the calendar and applying.
Design & Refresh
A warm orange palette and the school's new logo, refreshed by our design team, carry through a site full of classroom photography.
Faculty & Staff
Teachers are grouped by classroom, each with a bio that opens in a popup, and the school's team can edit them on their own.
Calendar & Admissions
An events calendar keeps families up to date, and an online application flow handles application fees, alongside donation forms and an accessibility toolbar.
Ongoing Support
Since 2022 we've hosted and maintained the site with monthly reports, refreshed the brand and website, and handled everything from new pages to email setup.
