What signs work?
Bluetooth LED matrix panels that show up as “LED_BLE”. RearSign has been tested with 96×16 rear window signs.
Pairing a sign
Open RearSign, plug in your sign, and tap it in the Pair a Sign list. First, fully close the iPixel Color app (or any other app connected to the sign): the sign only accepts one connection at a time.
Sign not found or won't connect
Make sure the sign is powered, close any other apps that use it, then pull down on RearSign's main screen to refresh.
Reconnecting
After pairing, RearSign reconnects automatically whenever the sign powers on with your car.
Lock Screen and Dynamic Island
The Live Activity appears while the sign is connected. Open RearSign or use the widget once per drive to start it. You can turn it off under Display.
Sign restarts or flickers
Bright white at high brightness draws the most power; on a weak USB supply the sign can restart. Lower the brightness or use a color, or switch to a stronger USB power source.
Restore RearSign Pro
Open the ••• menu › Unlock RearSign Pro › Restore Purchase.
Driving safety
Type and choose messages while parked. While driving, use Siri, the Lock Screen, the widget, or your saved messages. Check your local laws on illuminated displays in vehicles.
